The visit to Whitewater Valley by the NQR commission in February 2008 was a great success. At the retreat between the commission and
representatives from the WVP partner churches, the new coordinator Josue Chan shared a chart with the progress each of the churches is
making towards becoming chartered (El Buen Pastor, in Playa del Carmen, has already been chartered, and so it is not on the chart).

The commission met with many people in the presbytery, including the presbytery staff . Members of the Hispanic Ministries Lead Team held several meetings with the NQR commission to look towards the future of the partnership. Among the areas of growth, both groups agreed to consider ways to offer leadership training to the planters in NQR, and to consider ways in which the NQR leaders can support the start up work at the bilingual bicultural worship community nesting in John Knox.
